Hi guys!
I went out today there was an art tour (
[link] ) and I manage to see some beautiful and interesting art pieces of differents art 'field'. My last stop was at Seann O'Riordain's studio.
I had quite an interesting talk with him. Seann kindly showed me his work and answered all my " How you do that ???". I must admit i'm really impressed about his technique. That's for the technical part but we also talked about doing art in general. His vision about how you dont necessairly need to use 'art stuff' bought at art store to do your work, confirmed what i,m trying to do. So while talking ideas were poping in my head.
I always had a little, I dont know, "hold back" when doing stuff because i was affraid to ruin a painting. Seann told me something like " Go ahead and try stuff, if something doesn't work, you'll be the only one to know about it" That really inspired me to try new technique, new materials, and mostly find a style. The overall discussion was really enlightening.
So now, i guess I will do (or at least try) to do a big sell out of my paintings that are standing at home just to make some room for new ones. That's step 1 ( step 2...? step 3 profits!!!

) the critical point now is finding time to work on new projects.
That's enough about me.
I strongly invite you to visit Seann's website
[link] I wont reveale all his secrets but he uses unsual material like burlap, ash, tar to create works with a lot's of texture. Some pieces have this stone effect that make it looks like paving-stone taken from a lost temple somewhere. Iconology and symbols are very present in his painting. Some kinda reminded me of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa

I hope you'll have a look at the links i gave you and if you have the chance to visit artists workshops... go!!!
cheers
